An affordable, easy-to-use database for tracking and responding to patient grievances in the healthcare setting. The database is designed to help organizations meet the needs of patients and increase patient satisfaction, while maintaining compliance with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Conditions of Participation and interpretive guidelines, as well as Joint Commission accreditation requirements pertaining to patient rights.

Should CMS or Joint Commission visit your hospital or ambulatory surgery center to investigate a patient complaint, a click of the Detail Report button will provide instant documentation of the organization's response to the patient's concerns. Trended results can also be incorporated into the quality improvement process.

Security

The database is a stand-alone product developed in Microsoft Access 2003. It can be installed and used on a single PC, or placed in a shared directory on your servers and accessed simultaneously by up to ten users. All of your information remains securely stored and backed up behind your hospital or ASC's firewall. Purchasers will receive access to tables and queries.

Training and Support

A user guide will be included in the purchase price, and limited help will be available through this site and email. Although the database is menu-driven and designed in a user-friendly format, the product is recommended for those with some experience using Microsoft Access databases, and/or those with IT support familiar with Microsoft Access.
